June 30, 2019 – Nebraska Storms

June 30th was a combination chase/travel day, so the plan was to chase storms along a frontal boundary in Central Nebraska, follow them east, then hopefully be close to home after dark. The forecast was for a surface low in northeast Colorado to drift into southwestern Nebraska. Extending from that low was a warm front to Sioux Falls.

June 16, 2017 – Meadow Grove, Nebraska

June 16th featured a surface low expected to drift across Northern Nebraska into Western Iowa while a belt of strong westerlies clipped the area at 500mb. A weak cold front stretched from Minnesota through Nebraska into Colorado. Mid 60°F dewpoints existing in the warm sector across southeastern Nebraska into Iowa but low level wind fields looked to be rather weak. July 22, 2010 – Fennville Supercell Lightning Barrage!

(Just a quick upload, didn’t plan for this day, chased the early supercell after Battle Creek then went out again to the lakeshore to catch the tornadic supercells coming across Lake Michigan.  Followed the supercell from Fennville all the way home, here’s some photos of the CG Lightning.  That storm was freakin bonkers!
